Unit 2: Movements and Stillness

Sukoon (non-vowled)

(Sukoon) in dictation has the shape a small circle, while it takes the shape of top of letter (H’aa’).
A word cannot start by a letter with (Sukoon) because it cannot be pronounced unless this letter is preceded by another moving letter.
To exercise pronouncing a letter with (Sukoon), place any moving letter before it. It is also possible to use the same letter as a precedence but with a moving symbol. The common moving letters preceding a letter with Sukoon, in Qur’an, are Taa’ and Yaa’ as will be presented below.
